“Security is not just a technological challenge.
If it were, technology would have already won a long time ago.
Security is a challenge of people,
a social and organizational challenge.
It is a cultural challenge.”

If, like us, you believe in this idea and are passionate about this challenge, you might be interested in the role of Penetration Tester within our Application Security Team.

IMQ Intuity is a company exclusively focused on cybersecurity, composed of two complementary areas with the shared goal of helping clients understand the “Cyber Security” problem, how it impacts their business, and how to address it effectively.

  • Offensive Security: the area responsible for performing simulated cyber attacks (Red Team), penetration testing, physical security testing, and threat intelligence.
  • Consulting and Training: the area focused on improving companies’ security posture through consulting, assessments, policy definition, and training activities.

The person we are looking for, working together with the team, will be responsible for the following activities, for which we expect a good level of autonomy:

  • Perform penetration tests independently on networks, systems, and web applications to identify security issues
  • Proactively identify and exploit vulnerabilities in systems and networks to improve a company’s security posture
  • Thoroughly know and apply market-standard testing methodologies (e.g., OWASP)
  • Use tools confidently and apply advanced techniques to analyze applications and networks, using established methodologies to assess security risks
  • Participate in Mobile Assessment tests, analyzing both client and server components of the system
  • Write detailed, standardized reports with risk assessments, highlighting weaknesses, exploited vulnerabilities, and recommended corrective measures
  • Create internal operational guides and update existing documentation to ensure consistency and quality in penetration tests

For this reason, we would prefer candidates with 3 to 5 years of experience.

Technical certifications in the field are a preferable requirement.

At IMQ Intuity, we value both technical and soft skills. Priority will be given to candidates who demonstrate:

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Teamwork orientation and collaboration
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to learn and experiment with new solutions
  • Passion for the cybersecurity field

The role will primarily be based at one of our offices in Padua, Milan, or Rome, with the possibility of remote work according to agreed arrangements. Business trips to client sites are expected.

IMQ Intuity provides an open, dynamic, and friendly work environment based on respect and collaboration.

  • Training and personal certifications are fully covered by IMQ Intuity and are part of our continuous improvement path.
  • Salary range: €30,000 – €36,000 gross per year, depending on experience
  • Additional benefits: meal vouchers and welfare vouchers

When submitting your application, we would appreciate receiving a cover letter.
